Move to Panama Corporation was
founded in 2002. Since its inception it has
specialized in Relocation Services & Real
Estate for foreign citizens moving to the
Republic of Panama, assisting newcomers
from the initial research on Panama until they
are finally settled.
Management team
Our team is composed of the
Owner-Director, a Marketing Specialist and
Client Services Coordinators. Our network is
composed of Licensed Attorneys, Real Estate
Agents, Insurance Agents, Customs
Brokerage Agents and many other
professionals in different fields. Together,
Move to Panama Corporation delivers the
best Panama Relocation & Real Estate
Services that newcomers may need, making
the retirement experience smooth and
hassle-free from the very beginning until finally
settled in Panama.
Our Staff
Mario Vilar - Owner and Director
Mario started his professional career in 1986 working in several
companies while pursuing his B.S. in Electronic Engineering at the
Universidad Santa María La Antigua (USMA) in Panama City, Panama.
In 1993 he joined NCR Corporation, a US Worldwide Technology company. He received
several trainings in the United States, Canada and Ecuador while working at NCR.
In 1999 he received his Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at INCAE, a
University founded in 1964 in collaboration with the private sector and governments of the
Central American nations and the United States and supervised by the Harvard University
Business School.
In 2000 he moved to the United States and in 2001 he became Vice Consul General at the
Consulate General of Panama in Houston, Texas until October 2004. During these years, he
assisted many US Citizens and other nationalities that were investing, relocating or retiring to
Panama. Many of these people were starting their move to Panama and many of them were
already in Panama but were having difficulty in relocating. In all cases, Mario assisted them
out to have a successful relocation.
While in the United States, Mario participated as main speaker in several conferences for
US Corporations, Universities and Government Authorities, developing key U.S. and
Panamanian business relations to promote international investments between both countries.
Mario was also the designer and developer of the website www.conpahouston.com, an
informative website for the Consulate General of Panama in Houston that so far has assisted
thousands of visitors online. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Karina Fay – Marketing & Administration
Karina is in charge of Marketing and Administration for Move to Panama
Corporation.
Her previous experience includes English/Spanish Interpreter in Panama for
Language Line Services, a global language services provider based in the
USA.
She was also Marketing and Information Management Specialist for Petroleum Technology
Transfer Council, an Oil and Gas Organization in Houston, Texas.
While pursuing her College degree she worked as a Data Processor at the ISDS Dept. in
Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge LA, and Assistant Manager for
Chartwells/Compass Group USA, a College and University Dining Services Company in
Baton Rouge, LA.
Karina received a B.S. Degree in Management Information Systems and a Minor in French
from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She is also a certified Open Water Diver.
She is fluent in English, Spanish and some French.
Mariela Vilar - Client Services Coordinator
As a Client Services Coordinator, Mariela organizes all the details for the
upcoming trips for our customers, and assists them during their stay in
Panama. This includes liaison with attorneys, insurance companies, real estate agents, hotels,
local airlines, tours and more. She is also a Pet relocation specialist for Move to Panama Corp.
She is a Certified Tourism Guide and a Senior Graphic Design Professor at the Universidad de
Panamá.
Her previous experience includes Marketing Executive for a Publishing Company in
Panama, and Director of the Printing Department at the Universidad de Panamá.
Mariela received a B.A. Degree in Graphic Design and a Post Degree in Education at the
Universidad de Panamá. She also received a Marketing Degree from Universidad Autónoma
de México.
She is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
Miroslava Vilar - Client Services Coordinator
As a Client Services Coordinator, Miroslava organizes all the details for the
upcoming trips for our customers, and assists them during their stay in Panama.
This includes liaison with attorneys, insurance companies, real estate agents, hotels, local
airlines, tours, and more.
Her previous experience includes Consul General of Panama in Houston, Texas, Executive
Assistant to the President of Banco DISA in Panama, and Liaison to the Stock Holders of
several Panamanian Corporations.
Miroslava received a Technical Degree in Banking Sciences and a B.A. Degree in Pre-school
Education at the Universidad de Panamá
During her time in the United States she assisted many U.S. Citizens engage in businesses with
the Republic of Panama.
She is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
