mountainous areas is 50 to 60 degrees F.

of Panama.

Religion: 85 percent Catholic, 15 percent Protestant

Ethnic Groups: 62 percent Mestizo, 14 percent African, 10 percent White, 5 percent
Mulatto  and 5 percent Indigenous

Currency: Balboa or U.S. Dollar

Economy: 75 percent service, 16 percent industry, 10 percent agriculture

Inflation Rate: 1.4 percent

Unemployment Rate: 16 percent (2002)e
