4. FORESTRY INVESTOR VISA
|
The Pensionado Visa has an
income requirement established
by the Panamanian Government
of US$500.00 per month and
US$100.00 additional for each
dependant. It is issued to those
who receive a monthly income
from retirement sources such as
Social Security, Government or
Private Companies.
The Pensionado Visa is the
most common Visa requested
by people from all over the
World, specially the United
States, Canada and Europe, that
plan to live in Panama on
their retirement income.
The Private Income Retiree Visa has an income requirement established by the Panamanian
Government of US$750.00 per month earned from a CD deposited at the National Bank of
Panama. At current rates, the deposit should be around US$200,000.00 (Keep in mind this
amount may fluctuate). The deposit must be renewed every 5 years to maintain the status.
The Person of Means Visa has three options:
1. Purchasing a property of US$200,000.00
2. Having a CD
deposited in a
Panamanian bank for two years in the amount of
US$200,000.00 (Does not need to be renewed)
3. A combination of the two options above,
purchasing a property of US$80,000.00 AND having a CD deposit of
US$120,000.00
The Forestry
Investor Visa is
another option for
those seeking
residency in Panama.
Two investment options are available:
1) US$40K
2) US$80K
You would be purchasing land for reforestation/investment and obtaining Panamanian residency.
In some cases, estimated Investment return might be more than $240,000.00 (tax free)
